What is airmail?

There are two kinds of airmail. One is Hong Kong airmail, the other is China mainland airmail (herein referred as China airmail). Airmail stretches to nearly every corner of the world and is broadly used in international shipping.

What factors affect the delivery time?

Delivery time includes processing time and shipping time. Processing time means the time Hitobuy handles the order internally. Delivery time varies based on the destination. The customs policies of different countries can also impact the delivery time. Generally, the package can arrive to its destination on time.

What shipping methods are available?

Registered airmail (Hong Kong):

Currently, if you want to deliver your goods by EMS, you need to pay an additional freight cost which is determined by the volume, weight of products and destination. has an automatic system to calculate the freight cost. If you have any questions, you can contact us.

DHL, TNT, UPS, FedEx and other express delivery services

Express delivery requires additional freight cost. If you want to deliver your goods via DHL, TNT, UPS, FedEx or other express forwarder, please contact service center. At present, these shipping services cannot be selected through our website, a phone call is necessary.


How does get my shipping address?

We'll get your shipping address when you make a payment by PayPal. Please note, PayPal will be not sharing any of your financial information with us except shipping address and a phone number which you have explicitly agreed to share with us. If there is something unusual about the destination address, our customer service representative will confirm it with you before shipping the package.

What if I do not edit my shipping address before settling the payment?

We’ll treat the PayPal account address as your shipping address if you do not edit it otherwise. Please make sure your shipping address is the same as your PayPal account address, if not, you will need to edit it.

How can I know my order has been shipped?

You’ll receive a notification e-mail from us when your order is shipped. Information about your order (shipped items, shipping time, tracking number and tracking website) is included. Also, you can check your order status via “My Account”è”Order List” at your convenience.

My tracking number is not working, what should I do?

Once your package has left, it will take 1-3 business days to process in the Hong Kong Post system. Please wait a little more time and try again later. If any questions, please leave us a message by visiting My Account. The customer service center will respond within 24 hours.

The tracking information from the Hong Kong Post website shows that my order has been shipped to the wrong country, what should I do?

Any order shipped from is clearly marked with your detailed address. Thus, your order should not be shipped to a wrong destination. This must be a mistake made by Hong Kong Post staff during scanning. You can wait until the shipping deadline and contact us if you still haven’t received your package.

What are the steps of processing an order?

The steps of processing an order in are as follows:
Step 1: Order printed by our system (0-1 business day)
Step 2: Order packaged by our warehouse (1-3 business days)*
Step 3: Package delivered to Hong Kong Post or Express Center (1 day)
Step 4: Order processed by post and en route to your destination.


*Note: Generally, we carry all products in stock, but occasionally there’s possibility that some items are temporarily out of stock. It will take 1-2 business days to get the goods back in stock.

Why was a single item from my order shipped by EMS even though I chose airmail as the shipping method for the whole order?

This is because the item’s weight must be over 2 kilograms, exceeding airmail weight limitations. For such items, Hitobuy will ship it separately via EMS. Generally, the EMS fee is covered, but for some countries in South America, East Europe and Africa, additional shipping fee will be charged due to the high EMS fee.

Do I need to pay taxes or customs duties on my shipment? shipments originate in Hong Kong which is a free port. Since there is no sale tax imposed by the Hong Kong government, customers generally will not pay any tax when shopping with us. 
As per our data, only less than 1% of the packages were opened and checked by customs officials at their destination. Customers are responsible to pay for the taxes if import taxes are assessed.
Although the possibility of import taxes is very slim, we strongly suggest that familiarize yourself with your country’s import policy before making a purchase. Please note that some products may require special licenses or permits to import (such as high powered lasers). It is the customer’s business to handle the products that are confiscated by customs officials in their country. The customer is responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from, the recipient is the recorded importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Does my expedited shipping option (EMS, DHL, FedEx, etc.) ensure my order will be shipped on the same day it is placed?

Unfortunately it does not. We only guarantee same-day shipment of orders shipped by express priority. On average, all orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days (see the processing time frame) regardless of the shipping option selected. The processing time for all orders on is the same.

Why was my order sent in multiple packages when it all could have fit in one box? may decide to pack your items separately due to weight, size concerns or product shortage. You can check from your order list to see which parts were sent separately. You can review the status of all orders in My Account.

How long will it take to process back orders?

We will send the products separately if some goods are out of stock. Generally, it will take 5 days or less to restock these items. If more time is needed, we will inform you as soon as possible; your understanding is highly appreciated. A customer service representative will update My Account with the newest information as soon as the back order is processed.

I have paid the express fees, why was the order shipped by airmail?

There are a few reasons. It could be due to the destination customs policy or the tax on express shipments to your country. We'll provide you with additional details via e-mail if we’ve adjusted the mode of delivery.

What should I do if the package is not received?

Firstly, you can track the status by visiting the appropriate tracking website mentioned above. If there’s no tracking information, you can contact us via “My Message” in “My Account” for help. 
Secondly, you can submit an RMA ticket when the package has not been received 45-50 calendar days beyond the delivery date.

What should I do if I want to change the shipping address while I am placing an order or after the order is placed?

Your package will be shipped to the address you set in your PayPal account. If you would like to ship your order to a different address, please change the address in your Paypal account during the checkout process. If you still want to change the address after successful checkout, you should edit your address via My Account-Orders List only if the order's shipping status is Unshipped or Processing.
